Kell Brook vs. Kevin Bizier March 26th Sheffield

Brook Bizier Poxton Posters

World championship boxing returns on 26th March in Sheffield with Kell Brook defending his IBF welterweight world title. We take a look at the card and some of the contests and share our views on what could happen.

Luke Campbell vs. Gary Sykes

Vacant commonwealth lightweight title

This is an interesting match-up for Gary Sykes, who is stepping up divisions from super-feather to lightweight where he held the British title. Campbell is returning from his first loss in the pro ranks, so he will be looking to make a return with a bang!

Andy Townend vs. Craig Poxton

English super featherweight title

Many people say styles make fights and this one really could be true to that. Townend “KO Kid” is known to be a big puncher and Poxton very much a pressure fighter. With their two different styles, many are saying this could be a contender for fight of the year.

Dave Allen vs. Richard towers

On paper this fight could end very quickly. The heavyweight division is one where a single punch can change the whole course of a bout. Currently the domestic heavyweight division is wide open and with Anthony Joshua now moving on to world level, both the British and commonwealth titles could  soon become available. The winner of this bout would be hoping to move on to a British or commonwealth title fight.

Kell Brook vs. Kevin Bizier

IBF welterweight world title

Kevin Bizier is the next challenger for Brooks IBF title, but what do we know about Bizier? He has never boxed outside of America/Canada, he is ranked within the top 20 in the world on BoxRec and his only 2 losses came from former Brook opponent Jo Jo Dan. Brook has made clear without overlooking his opponent that he would like to go on and compete in super fights after this with the likes of Manny Paquiao, Timothy Bradley and the one that everyone wants to see – Amir Khan.

We don’t like to give predictions, but it would not surprise us if Brook wins this contest with an early stoppage.
